E-COMMERCE OPERATIONS & SUPPLIER SOURCING ASSOCIATE

ABOUT THE ROLE

This role has two sides to it: running our day-to-day e-commerce operations, and building out our supplier base. A typical week has you processing orders and resolving customer issues alongside researching manufacturers and negotiating terms. We need someone commercially sharp enough to hold their own with a supplier, and organised enough that nothing slips on the operations side.

We're a UK e-scooter and e-bike retailer and repair specialist with a European storefront network. We're a small team, so you'll have real ownership of your area and direct access to the people making decisions — and you'll be trusted to improve the processes you work with, not just follow them.

This is a full-time remote position based in Egypt, working UK hours.

OPERATIONS

• Process orders end to end — stock checks, dispatch, tracking, delivery
• Chase suppliers on stock, lead times, and order discrepancies
• Resolve warranty claims, delivery problems, and returns
• Log and track everything in our ticketing system

SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT

• Research and approach new manufacturers, with a focus on China and wider Asia
• Assess suppliers on pricing, MOQ, lead time, warranty, and certification
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and shipping terms
• Onboard new suppliers and act as their day-to-day point of contact
• Track supplier performance and flag risks early — lead time slippage, quality issues, price movement

PRODUCT LISTINGS

A smaller part of the role than the other two, but a regular one:

• Upload and maintain listings across our e-commerce platforms
• Audit listings regularly to catch and fix errors

HOW WE WORK WITH AI

AI is part of the daily workflow here, not an optional shortcut. In this role you'd use it for supplier emails and translation, manufacturer research, comparing quotes, summarising ticket threads, cleaning product data, and drafting listing content.

What we expect:

• You already use these tools every working day, by habit
• You check the output and catch it when it's wrong — before it reaches a supplier or a customer
• You work out new uses yourself rather than waiting to be shown

We're not looking for a technical specialist. We are looking for someone with genuine day-to-day fluency.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Hands-on supplier experience — finding, negotiating with, or managing vendors. This is the qualification that matters most.
• Willing to push back on price, MOQ, or lead times, and comfortable holding a position under pressure
• 2+ years in e-commerce, online retail, or sourcing/procurement
• Daily, practical AI use as described above
• Strong written English and good spoken English
• Highly organised and able to work independently

NICE TO HAVE

• Sourcing experience specifically from China or Asia
• Working knowledge of shipping, customs, and product certification
• Experience with Magento, Shopify, WooCommerce, Amazon, or BaseLinker
• Background with bikes, scooters, EVs, or other technical products
